My first animation! This will form part of our animation principles component and consists of a mini film using only 100 post it notes. It was challenging to work fast ( I am a slow coach!) and also to not particularly 'plan' what our story would be but just start drawing and see where it ended up. The only rule to make sure our animation contained 5 or more different elements, mine being a clock, eye, rabbit, hat and wand.

Summer Project
To ease us back into uni life we were given a 2 part summer project based on self portraits and expression. Part one was to use 7 different expressions; Fear, anger, happiness, disgust, contempt, sadness & surprise to create 7 self portraits using a different medium for each one.
I used the following photographs of myself as a point of reference to help me get started:
My 7 self portraits:
Surprise- Acrylic on canvas board.
Contempt- Black ink on textured paper.
Disgust- 3D relief using plaster strips and then painted.
Anger- Lino print on red paper with black ink.
Original lino cutting looks more angry then final result!
Happiness- Embroidery left on embroidery hoop.
Sadness-Watercolour.
Fear- White chalk pastel on black paper (my personal favorite!)
The second part of the project was, on an A1 piece of paper, to draw yourself in a dynamic pose to reflect one of the expressions. I chose Fear, using a photograph shot from above.
